Cummins Insite 8.9

Insite works with Cummins electronic control modules (ECMs) to diagnose and troubleshoot engine problems, store and analyze historical information about an engine, and modify an engine’s operating parameters. Insite also enables you to calibrate an ECM.

New Insite features and parameters:
New Diagnostic Tests
-Cooling Fan Control Test
Used to manually turn the Cooling Fans on and off to check the operation of the fans

-Aftertreatment Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Test
Diagnoses errors for any of the exhaust gas temperature sensors in the aftertreatment system

-Fuel Metering Valve Injector Override
Allows selection of Fuel Metering Valve Injectors to be commanded on in order to ensure proper functionality

-Thermal Management System Manual Deaeration
Provides ability to command the Electric Vehicle's Thermal Management System (TMS) pumps at various speed to support the system deaeration process

New Advanced ECM Data
-Battery Packs Energy Throughput
Displays information related to the total energy output during discharge of each battery pack

-Battery Pack Isolation Pack
Provides ability to reset battery pack isolation after battery isolation repairs have been completed

-Engine Protection High Temperature Coolant Level Low
Provides engine protection functionality, ability to derate torque, and shutdown to prevent damage when High Temperature Coolant Level is detected below operational threshold

-Operation Time
Allows the ability to monitor electric vehicle powertrain running and charging time

-DCDC1 Monitor
Allows monitoring of the DCDC1 converter current and voltage

-DCDC2 Monitor
Allows monitoring of the DCDC2 converter current and voltage

-Service Brake Switch Diagnostic
Provides ability to configure whether Limp Home is triggered when the Dual Accelerator Conformance error is active

-Wireless Adapter Communication Configuration
Allows monitoring of the connection between the ECM and Wireless Adaptor

-LIN Sensor Type
Provides the ability to enable diagnostics based on the type of installed LIN sensor

-Air Processing Unit Control
Allows ability to configure whether the Air Processing Unit is controlled by the ECM

-Neutral Gear Switch Multiplexing
Allows configuration to use switch input and set source address via the datalink instead of a physical ECM input

-Transmission Gear Table Type
Allows selection of transmission gear table type based on number of forward gears, torque ratings and gear box model

-Fault Codes Flash Out
Allows display of active fault codes using the Red Stop Lamp and Amber Warning Lamp
